Since 1994, JER Group, Inc. has been in the business of continuing education, online course development and professional training and delivery. JER currently has an inventory of over 150 interactive, instructor-led workshops and tutorials covering subject areas in small business, computer programming, internet marketing, search engine optimization, technical writing, and ecommerce. JER has developed strategic partnerships with a growing number of Continuing Education Programs and organizations.  Students who complete their online course of study can earn Continuing Education Credit and Certification from any give number of JER’s partner institutions.

In order to expand our operation we have invested in the development of a custom database program that allows schools, organizations, associations and small business programs with or without distance ed programs to instantly "go live," offering our online continuing ed workshops.  For institutions with existing online courses, providing customers with more choices and variety makes great business sense. 

Developed as an End-To-End online course database processing platform, the program dynamically generates a complete online course website instantaneously. Some features of the database include:

*Offering students choices of enrolling for either open and fixed start dates
*Single or certificate based course combinations
*Taking single and multiple student course registrations
*Student registration tracking (past and present student records)
*Facilitator grade reporting and tracking
*Automated invoicing and bill payment processing

PRESIDENT

Prior to founding JER, Dr. Reid served as a faculty member at the University of Georgia in Athens where in addition to teaching traditional students he also established himself in the universities Adult Education Program. He later moved to  Kennesaw State University where he held the position of Coordinator of Web-Based Instruction for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. An Internet curriculum developer and multimedia specialist, Dr. Reid has had extensive expertise in developing and teaching online college credit and continuing education courses to adult and lifelong learners. His area of expertise includes setting up computer-mediated distance education programs at several State Universities and Colleges in the Southeast. 

Dr. Reid plays a key role in furthering the development of resources useful in scholarship. Professor Reid  is well published and often an invited conference speaker. Local press coverage of his activities has included radio and talk shows, appearances on WSB Radio, AM 750, WXIA-TV, WSB-TV, WGNX-TV plus coverage in The Atlanta Constitution, PC Week, The Wall Street Journal and US News & World Report.
